Graduate Student Part-time Evaluation Research Intern

For Fall 2010 or Winter/Spring 2011

Unpaid internship or possible class credits. Work study also possible.

GRG is seeking a friendly and energetic person to work as a part time

graduate intern in an intellectually stimulating project-based environment

 

Goodman Research Group, Inc. (GRG) is a Cambridge-based research company that specializes in evaluation of educational programs and services. Since the company’s inception in 1989, GRG has formulated and carried out nearly 250 evaluation studies for a prestigious group of clients in the education, not-for-profit, corporate, and government sectors. Because we conduct evaluation and research within a wide range of content areas, the work is invariably interesting and rewarding. 

GRG seeks a graduate student with at least two years relevant social science research experience starting in Fall 2010 or Winter 2011 in our Cambridge office.

 

An Opportunity for a Graduate Student Intern – under the direction of senior staff – to:

  • Assist with program evaluation/applied research projects, using both quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Assist with writing research and evaluation proposals

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in social sciences, psychology or education 
  • Strong quantitative research skills and well-developed statistical analysis skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Exposure to program evaluation
  • Experience in project management a plus

Hours are somewhat flexible; we anticipate 8-12 hours a week.
